Situation

Although community colleges were seeing a slight uptick in enrollment, LSCPA enrollment had remained relatively flat leading up to the Spring 2023 enrollment period.

Our Approach

Our approach for the spring enrollment period was to target non-traditional students and focus on promoting high demand, well paying career fields: Pharmacy Tech, Drafting Technology, Audio Engineering, and Culinary Arts. Messaging emphasized the various levels of degree programs while continuing to play off the Learn. Right. Here. campaign line. Ads reflected broad ethnic diversity. Digital ads included mentions of scholarships being available and flexible course options. A small portion of the media budget was allocated to promoting the Perkins Grant funds to adult learners looking to upskill.

Results

Same-day comparison reports reflected an 8.5% increase over Spring 2022. This was the best spring enrollment for the college since 2013.
